Flash *should* work in Safari, the link below should help on that. I've got a mac too, I don't recall having issues viewing it in Safari.
I'd like to convert things to HTML, except Skybox is published through ComicFury, which has options to upload pages as SWF but not as HTML. So I'd have to scout around for a totally different publisher or else a different host server...and my web coding knowledge is severely limited. :[ I'd probably lose all comments and stats in the process, too.

Im not entirely sure, but I believe you need to enable flash player. https://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/enabling-flash-player-safari.html
The only reason Im not sure, is because I work with PCs all day, and our shop usually turns away mac users :/ Never used safari either.
If you don't mind me asking, is there some kind of virus preventing you from using Mozilla Firefox?
I wish the author would convert the comic to use plain html and javascript. There's nothing here that needs flash. It's getting quite hard to read this comic because of it. (There's a patreon to make a skybox app, but I don't want a skybox app. just please make it html.)
Yes. It's using a blocklist for now (Skybox still works?), but itll move to a whitelist next year (Skybox won't work.)
I don't understand why everyone's acting like asking for Skybox to stop using flash makes us the bad guys. Flash is dying and has been for a long time. It's finally starting to get blocked. Pointless internet arguments doesn't change that. It's been impossible to read the comic on phones for years.
The only reason I bring this up is because I love the comic and I'd like to keep reading it but not at any cost. I'll stop reading the comic if it doesn't switch.
Yes, that is absolutely okay and good by me! And if you post it to tumblr or dA or somesuch and link or tag me, I should hopefully be able to see it! Emailing me is also fine!

Is there a work-around for this or is it something inherent to the software?

I'll try downloading yet another something to try to keep what used to be a tremendous platform running.

My using Safari is a new thing too. I really did prefer Firefox.
